About Charlie

Charlie began his professional training working as an assistant at Sarm East Studios in Brick Lane while studying Audio Technology.

After completing his short but intensive course, Charlie moved on to intern at the renowned Britannia Row Studios, formally owned by Pink Floyd. Just four months in and Charlie had proven very popular with clients and had gained enough experience to be put to the test on his first sessions as an engineer.

Within 18 months of joining the team Charlie had worked his way up through the ranks to become chief in-house engineer, often being personally requested by many high profile clients and major labels such as Sony, Universal and Warner Chappell.

Charlie also took over much of the day to day running of the studio, organising sessions, client bookings, staff allocation and the maintenance of the studio’s equipment.

Charlie also started to freelance with a number of clients outside the walls of Brit Row in various studios across London, including Abbey Road, Metropolis, Konk, LoveBuzz, Sphere and more.

Over his career so far Charlie has acquired extensive recording, editing and mixing experience while working on a variety of high-pressure sessions with some of the biggest names in the music industry.

Prior to working in the music business, Charlie graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a BSc in Hotel & Restaurant Management. He draws on a wealth of experience from his previous life and brings a mature perspective to all situations.

Charlie is a passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic music professional and thrives to keep his place in the industry for as long as possible.

Charlie decided to β€˜pop out and find some people’. He came back 10 minutes later with about 15 people who worked at a luxury yacht firm round the corner. And they all came and sung backing vocals, which was pretty funny.
